Why this illustration?

This illustration exaggerates a clinical condition encountered when placing an implant in an immediate extraction site or large bony defect not in intimate contact with the bony socket. It is “suspended” or “floating” surrounded in a mixture of blood and L-PRF.

 

How would integration be possible?

Recently published advances in two individual biotechnologies lead a group of scientists to investigate just such a scenario.

 

They reasoned; if an implant with an osteoinductive surface ( OSSEAN® ) was immersed into a super blood clot ( L-PRF ) obtained with Intra-Spin, bone should naturally grow to the implant despite the absence of primary stability and a lack of intimate bone contact.
